Ten francs may save my poor Cosette!

I'm cold and hungry.

  1. I think that Fantine is the most tragic character in the book; I always felt so sorry for her. What do you think?

  2. Fantine is by far, my favorite character, and the most tragic.
In the broadway, Eponine (the Thenardier's elder daughter) becomes another very tragic character.
    I love both of them.

  3. I've never seen the Broadway play, but Emilie has and she loves it, too. I think that the two of you are kindred spirits! She's going to Yale for the Summer to study Greek, and she's already planning her bookstore excursions. :-)
